The theme of the journey has been a continual inspiration for Jilly Edwards. In this exhibition she 'attempts to challenge the way that artists and the public view woven tapestries'. Off the wall will allow the viewer to journey around the woven tapestries and interact with the work's tension, its sense of movement and strength. The exhibition will include working drawings and a booklet.

Unlike previous shows of her work, which emphasised their painterly quality, the exhibition is arranged in a more conceptual manner, drawing attention to the theme of the journey, and the placement of the objects throughout the gallery spaces: literally off the wall.
